Carol Gilfoyle Ed.S.
Special Education Advocate

Licensed School Psychologist
Certified ASD Specialist
Licensed School administrator

Before I begin telling you a little of myself I should explain that my given name and official name is Carol, but most people know me as Gilly, which is why you may see both names used in this website.

I was born in Liverpool, England where my birth family still live and after I graduated high school I attended nursing school and had a career in nursing for about 20 years. I came to the USA over 30 years ago via Italy, which is where I met my husband to be. I was living in Naples and he was stationed at the airforce base there, we got married, and I became a military wife. Our last assignment before retiring was a Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, which is where I still live. I have two sons and several grandchildren who bring so much joy to my life and on my time off you will find me enjoying walking in nature, travelling and watching my favorite football (soccer) team, Liverpool.

I have enjoyed a long professional career and even though I have now retired from working in education, I have set up my company so I can continue to advocate for children, which was always my passion and number one job as an educator. Given all of my experience I know it is best practice for schools and families to work collaboratively together and remain child centered and solution focused in order to do what is best for children.
